We’re looking for a Technical Systems Specialist to help drive the development of our core administration and calculation systems, including the ALPS Administration System. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering our digital workplace strategy, supporting operational excellence, and enabling better customer and client outcomes. You’ll work collaboratively across teams, champion Agile ways of working, and contribute to improvements that support accuracy, efficiency and innovation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working with senior technical colleagues to ensure new system development aligns with existing functionality and best practice
- Collaborating with product owners, business experts and technical teams to gather requirements, complete analysis and support high‑quality solution delivery
- Supporting continuous improvement activity using LEAN and Agile methodologies to enhance processes and customer outcomes
- Maintaining clear requirement traceability and supporting full lifecycle testing, including preparing and reviewing testing deliverables
- Providing PRT expertise to loading and administration teams, including support with scheme migrations and new scheme setup
- Reviewing system and process changes to assess impacts on customer journeys and service delivery
- Acting as an SME on IT and change initiatives to enhance customer support and experience
- Keeping internal teams and third‑party partners informed of changes that may impact processing or customer outcomes
Who we’re looking for:
- Pension, Business Analysis or System Testing qualifications (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of BPA Admin systems, business analysis and testing practices
- Understanding of LEAN and Agile methodologies and their application in a digital workplace environment
- Knowledge of Defined Benefit pensions and a general understanding of the financial services industry
- Ability to analyse and solve technical and business problems with initiative
- Experience managing workloads effectively, adapting to changing priorities and supporting team goals
- A collaborative, positive approach with a focus on delivering high‑quality outcomes
- Flexibility in responding to change and supporting others through it
