We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong full‑stack development experience, encompassing both frontend and backend engineering. The role is integral to delivering end‑to‑end features, contributing to both user‑facing products and core backend services.
Responsibilities
- Deliver clean, maintainable features across TypeScript‑based frontend applications and Java/Spring Boot backend services, ensuring solutions align with standards and deliver customer value.
- Build and maintain RESTful microservices while integrating them with modern frontend applications to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Designers to translate requirements into well‑structured, user‑focused solutions.
- Contribute to system design and architectural discussions, supporting the Tech Lead in defining technical approaches and implementation strategies.
- Apply best practices in frontend engineering, including component‑based architectures, state management, and performance optimisation.
- Ensure high‑quality delivery through comprehensive testing across the stack, including unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing.
- Participate in code reviews to promote maintainability, performance, security, and usability.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and continuous improvement initiatives, including reducing technical debt and enhancing engineering practices.
Qualifications
- Strong experience delivering full‑stack applications, with hands‑on development across both TypeScript‑based frontends and Java/Spring Boot backends.
- Solid grasp of modern frontend architecture, including component‑based design, state management, and performance optimisation.
- Proven ability to build and consume RESTful microservices and integrate frontend applications with backend services.
- Practical experience working with AWS services and an understanding of distributed systems and cloud‑native architectures.
- Strong knowledge of testing practices across the stack, covering unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern Agile development workflows such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Good understanding of clean code principles (e.g., SOLID) and modern architectural patterns such as hexagonal or layered architecture.
- Capability to debug complex issues across frontend and backend systems, performing effective root‑cause analysis and contributing to a high‑performing team culture.
