We are seeking an Investment Change specialist to represent the Investments business area across a new Market Data Optimisation (MDO) programme of change. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving, reviewing and facilitating optimisation of market data costs, ensuring efficient use of resources, and supporting the overall market data strategy alignment with Investment business strategy.
The successful candidate will work very closely with the Investment teams and act as the key liaison between internal stakeholders, supporting the delivery of this programme while also ensuring Investments business continuity, competitive effectiveness & enablement to meet strategic business targets.
What you'll be doing:
- Representing Investments at all MDO (Programme level Working groups & Focus groups with Investments Impact).
- Facilitating, co-ordinating & supporting Investment team representation, feedback, input and sign off across all MDO initiatives.
- Due diligence around delivering best outcomes via continual evaluation of cost vs. benefit of initiatives to ensure prioritisation and focus is maintained.
- Challenging any initiative that puts existing Investments business at risk, by reducing capability or degradation of service, preventing Investments from meeting strategic business growth plans.
- Supporting the project team to determine programme wide, resource overallocation of Investments SMEs required to deliver across multiple MDO initiatives & other competing business and change initiatives.
- Working with finance to evaluate and validate any cost reallocations being transferred to investments.
- Working with the MDO project team to ensure successful delivery of the programme, accurate reporting up to senior execs & clear communication on planned changes to impacted Investment teams.
- Working with Market data vendor team to understand commercial agreements & services for each vendor, to ensure all aspects are considered for any initiative implementing change.
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
- 10+ years of experience in Investments change management, or a similar role.
- Strategic conceptual and collaborative thinker who is able to easily translate strategy into deliverable solutions with the ability to clearly articulate their thoughts and ideas in a logical manner.
- Sound business and commercial judgmental skills / Highly developed communication skills to provide credible succinct and meaningful articulation of complex information to senior stakeholders.
- Must be able to demonstrate a collaborative approach with other teams to establish the appropriate approach to projects.
- Highly developed influencing skills, adept at building relationships and complex stakeholder management.
- A track record of constructively and credibly interacting with Investment teams to understand their requirements and deliver upon them in a positive manner.
- A track record of constructively and credibly interacting with teams outside of Investments to ensure all parties work together to successfully deliver strategic technology requirements.
- Strong understanding of market data platforms and vendors (e.g., Refinitiv, FactSet, Bloomberg, etc.).
- Proven track record of managing cost-reduction initiatives and vendor negotiations / Analytical mindset with experience in data analysis, reporting, and financial modelling.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines / Detail-oriented, with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint / Familiarity with market data APIs and feed integration.
