Job Description
We’re currently looking to hire an Index Data Analyst to join L&G Asset Management Index Data Management team. As part of the Index Data Management team, you’ll oversee daily index data feeds and support the on‑boarding of new indices.
What you’ll be doing
- Maintaining the timeliness and integrity of core index data and taking ownership of processes, including investigating and resolving incidents
- Overseeing the daily production and delivery of index data to consumers and ensuring issues are flagged, escalated and resolved
- Taking an active role in on‑boarding new indices and new consumers and carrying out data quality checks
- Acting as an index data subject matter expert for internal data consumers and stakeholders
- Working with the Vendor Management team to create, agree and monitor service levels and track incidents, requests and queries
- Understanding the business use of index data, including custom indices, carve‑outs and composite blends, and supporting investment teams with queries
- Gathering and creating management information on index data usage across the business
- Supporting global coverage by contributing to cross‑training and ensuring BAU activities can be maintained across regions
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of index data, index providers, index composition and index feed structures
- Knowledge of market and reference data across equities and fixed income
- Awareness of ESG data trends and alternative datasets
- Understanding of currency hedging
- Background in investment management data or financial data management
- Proactive problem‑solver with a focus on continuous improvement and ownership
- Proficiency with Excel, file handling tools and SQL
- Excellent time‑management skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
