Job Description
We’re recruiting for a Scheme Underwriter to join us. We’re offering a base salary of £34,000-£44,000 and hybrid working. Are you ready to make a real impact in a dynamic and supportive team? We’re looking for an Underwriter to join our Group Protection Retail team. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our customers while helping us grow our business. What you’ll be doing:
- Assessing risk and setting pricing in line with underwriting guidelines
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and brokers
- Collaborating with colleagues to meet shared financial and service goals
- Managing your workload to meet deadlines and communicating effectively when needed
- Supporting your own development by learning new skills and following your personal development plan
- Staying informed about new products, team updates, and business developments
- Ensuring customers receive clear, timely information to manage their policies
- Prioritising service for customers making changes, claims, or complaints
Qualifications
Who we’re looking for:
- Experience in underwriting or a related financial services role
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confidence in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to adapt and stay motivated in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support team goals

- Understanding of Group Protection products and regulations
