Job Description
Are you an AI enthusiast ready to make a significant impact? We are on the lookout for a talented and driven Data Science Manager to join our dynamic Group Data Science team. In this role, you\'ll lead the Generative AI team and develop innovative data science solutions that support decision-making, drive automation, and enhance efficiencies within our business. What you’ll be doing:
- Leading on Generative AI solution design and development
- Researching and implementing cutting edge techniques, methodologies and approaches
- Taking projects from design, through proof of concept and into production and developing and delivering data science solutions using a variety of data sources
- Leading stakeholder management and issue resolution on project work
- Identifying, sourcing, and engineering data to support data science activities
- Collaborating with other data professionals and business stakeholders
- Ensuring all work is fully documented and quality assured
- Taking solutions through internal governance and risk management processes
Qualifications
Who we’re looking for:
- Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, computing science, data science) or equivalent experience
- Experience in dealing with high volumes of data with excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of a wide variety of Generative AI models
- Conceptual understanding of how large language models work
- Proficiency in coding languages for data manipulation (e.g., SQL) and machine learning & AI development (e.g., Python)
- Experience with dashboarding tools such as Power BI and Tableau (beneficial but not essential)
- Experience with cloud native tooling for Azure and AWS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
