Support Legal Action Group (LAG) in championing access to justice. Legal Action Group (LAG) is a national charity dedicated to promoting access to justice for all – especially for people who are disadvantaged or marginalised. We’re currently looking for a volunteer to support our social media and communications work. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in legal issues, digital communications, or the non-profit sector to build experience and contribute to meaningful, purpose-driven work.

About the role

  • Location: Remote or hybrid
  • Time commitment: 5 hours per week minimum
  • Expenses: Agreed travel and meal expenses will be covered

As a Social Media Volunteer, you’ll help us grow our online presence and engage audiences with LAG’s work, which includes legal publishing, events and policy campaigns.

Key tasks

  • Planning and scheduling social media posts across platforms
  • Supporting the creation of a simple social media content calendar
  • Promoting LAG events, books and campaigns
  • Assisting with visual content using tools like Canva (if confident)
  • Uploading speaker bios, images and links for event promotion
  • Helping maintain a contact database for events and legal training
  • Tracking social media performance and engagement

What we’re looking for

  • An interest in social justice, law, publishing, or communications
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (X, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
  • Clear communication and good organisational skills
  • Proactive, reliable and happy to work independently with guidance
  • Experience with Canva or other design tools is a bonus—but not essential
