Support Legal Action Group (LAG) in championing access to justice. Legal Action Group (LAG) is a national charity dedicated to promoting access to justice for all – especially for people who are disadvantaged or marginalised. We’re currently looking for a volunteer to support our social media and communications work. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in legal issues, digital communications, or the non-profit sector to build experience and contribute to meaningful, purpose-driven work.
About the role
- Location: Remote or hybrid
- Time commitment: 5 hours per week minimum
- Expenses: Agreed travel and meal expenses will be covered
As a Social Media Volunteer, you’ll help us grow our online presence and engage audiences with LAG’s work, which includes legal publishing, events and policy campaigns.
Key tasks
- Planning and scheduling social media posts across platforms
- Supporting the creation of a simple social media content calendar
- Promoting LAG events, books and campaigns
- Assisting with visual content using tools like Canva (if confident)
- Uploading speaker bios, images and links for event promotion
- Helping maintain a contact database for events and legal training
- Tracking social media performance and engagement
What we’re looking for
- An interest in social justice, law, publishing, or communications
- Familiarity with social media platforms (X, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
- Clear communication and good organisational skills
- Proactive, reliable and happy to work independently with guidance
- Experience with Canva or other design tools is a bonus—but not essential
