We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive People Strategy Lead / Project Manager to drive the successful execution of our People agenda. This role sits at the heart of the People function, turning strategic priorities into actionable plans, ensuring initiatives stay on track, and providing the governance, coordination and insight needed to deliver meaningful business outcomes. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will connect teams, manage priorities and help create a high-performing People function that delivers real value across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Delivery & Programme Management
- Lead the delivery of the People Strategy, translating priorities into clear plans, milestones and measurable outcomes.
- Manage and track the People portfolio, monitoring progress, risks, dependencies and key deliverables.
- Ensure accountability across strategic initiatives through effective governance, reporting and follow-up.
- Identify and resolve barriers to delivery, maintaining momentum across projects and programmes.
- Planning & Governance
- Own the annual People planning cycle, ensuring key activities are coordinated and delivered on time.
- Establish governance frameworks that provide clear visibility of priorities, progress and risks.
- Coordinate People Leadership Team meetings and strategic planning sessions, tracking actions through to completion.
- People Function Coordination
- Act as a central point of coordination across the People function, ensuring teams are aligned and working towards shared objectives.
- Manage interdependencies across projects and initiatives.
- Drive a proactive approach to planning, prioritisation and execution.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, governance and operational efficiency.
- Monitor emerging trends, including AI and digital solutions, to enhance People practices and ways of working.
- Provide insight and recommendations to support innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Ideally a Graduate in Business Management or HR with 3 / 4 years experience in Programme / Project Management.
- Experience in programme management, strategy execution, transformation or business management, ideally within HR or People functions.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience working with senior leaders.
- Proven ability to coordinate complex, cross-functional programmes and manage dependencies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into action.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Commercially aware with an understanding of how People teams contribute to business success.
