We are recruiting for a driven and proactive Commercial Sales Agent, with content/image licensing expertise in the advertising and creative industries. This is a great opportunity to join a globally established representation agency, who partner with some of the world's biggest brands within fashion, luxury, lifestyle, celebrity, and beauty.
Core elements of a position within Commercial Sales:
- Ability to integrate into a team environment but also proactive and confident enough to work independently
- Responsible for new business development, servicing the current client base and client prospecting for the growth of the business
- Develop and implement quarterly strategy plans that improve existing client relationships and generate new business, together with the Commercial Sales Team and Senior Executive Director, Partnerships & Strategy
- Generate revenue and ensure individual sales goal is being met
Responsibilities:
- Conduct proactive outreach with current and prospective clients (via phone, email, online and face to face meetings)
- Closely monitor all sales and pending projects in relation to monthly and quarterly goals
- Maintain a meticulous overview of pending deals, outreach, and internal projects
- Negotiate and finalize licensing sales for designated commercial client base
- Responsible for maintaining a client base of key accounts, while obtaining new clients to meet/exceed personal target revenue
- Analyze current and past sales reports, identify new revenue streams and opportunities within each assigned market
- Identify cross-collaboration opportunities with the Editorial team
- Provide weekly status updates in sales meetings
- Clean up and maintain client data
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to develop client trust and define new sales opportunities within the industry
- Follow industry trends through various media outlets and communicate viable information collaboratively with global sales teams
- Identify viable networking opportunities, partnerships, and events
- Attend industry related openings, trade shows and events
Cross Functional Responsibilities:
- Communicate with internal teams such as Editorial, Marketing, Artist Relations, Content Research, Archiving, Infringement, Legal and Finance
- Provide Marketing team with industry insights and collaborate on promotional materials to better target new and existing clients
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies to support sales teams, including sales materials, new customer acquisition and retention protocols and growth plans across commercial categories of business
- Clearly communicate project and imagery needs of the Commercial team to other Great Bowery Licensing Teams to most efficiently and successfully secure imagery
Qualifications:
- Experience in Advertising, Artist Representation/Management, Negotiating Agreements, Photography, Media, Content Licensing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior organizational skills and follow through with precise attention to detail
- Desire to work in sales and an ability to learn quickly and adapt to growing company
- Knowledge of image/film licensing a must
- An ability to follow direction, as well as take a leadership role on projects
- Extensive knowledge of media and pop culture (magazines/publishers, fashion, movies, music, blogs, etc.) with an ability to forecast trends
- Dedication, creativity, and a strong work ethic
