International and well respected Gallery in London are looking for an Events Specialist to help within the Events department
Gallery Events Programme:
• Organising, curating and executing the gallery events programme which focuses on drinks receptions, post opening dinners, parties, young collector programme
Candidates must be able to hit the ground running as the majority of the Events (dinners with artists, exhibitions, shows) are between June and October and the person in this role would need to automatically know the artist\’s background and their work to be able to generate the list of invites for the event taking place.
• Overseeing the list management, invitation mailings, RSVPs, and follow ups.
• Own the guest list creation in Google Docs.
• Maintain event files with past dinner lists, seating charts, menus, and invoices.
• Keep detailed records of all costs and data related to events
• Liaising with external vendors for coordination and the smooth running of events – will be undertaking tastings, venue shopping, building relationships with the restaurants and the venues so that the gallery would get good deals or be a priority in case of last minute request.
Relationship handling:
• Cultivate relationships with clubs, restaurants, venues and external organisations and
represent the Gallery in meetings with organisations across art, luxury and fashion to benefit our gallery events programme and drive revenue-making events
• Support strategic goals for client activations across Europe and new global initiatives
• Able to put together an itinerary for 1 week long if an artist came to town with family and wanted to visit the new, hot and exciting restaurants or gallery/museums spaces (ideally concierge knowledge)
• Collaborate with the sales and artist liaison teams to ensure the smooth running of all
gallery and museum events

• Ability to professionally communicate, including across competing priorities
• High level of flexibility and a strong team worker
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to quickly build effective and
trusting relationships at all levels
The role will be Monday – Friday and the successful candidate will be expected to attend some Events (time off can be taken in lieu). Previous Events experience isn\’t necessary but must have a passion / knowledge of contemporary Art / Artists
