This is an amazing opportunity to progress your career within a globally established contemporary art gallery. We are seeking a proactive and experienced EA to support the International Sales Director, acting as their 'right hand person' and taking full ownership of business and personal tasks. You will have at least 2 years experience working as an Assistant, EA or PA who’s highly organised, detail orientated, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Overseeing calendar, itinerary, expenses, and travel arrangements for the Director
- Providing sales support in drafting consignment agreements, preparing proposals, sending, and tracking offers, ensuring invoicing, payments, and post-sales’ logistics with the relevant departments
- Providing high level client liaison support in an efficient, polite, and professional manner
- Ensuring clients are kept updated regarding the gallery program of exhibitions, events, and online initiatives
- Assisting with market and artwork research
- Maintaining fastidious record-keeping particularly regarding company database updates
- Managing the Director’s office to ensure the smooth running of daily operations
Skills/attributes include:
- Fluency in English is essential and ability to speak French would be an advantage
- Educated at degree level in a relevant field
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An extensive knowledge of Modern and Contemporary Art would be an advantage
- IT proficiency- Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite literacy essential
- Able to work overtime and flexibly where required
- Discretion with confidential and sensitive information
- Project management and people skills
The role is based in Mayfair, London working Monday - Friday. Working hours will be 10-6, but you may be required to work out of hours if and when needed.
