Global Museum / Gallery, with exhibition spaces in the US, Europe and Asia is looking for an experienced accountant to join the finance team in London.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all areas of artist accounting, including preparing statements.
- Reviewing VAT on invoices.
- Assisting with payments.
- Main point of contact between the accounts department and artist liaison staff.
- Arranging vendor invoices and payments.
- Understand and assist with sale invoicing process.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to control procedures and accounting processes.
- Supporting the department with general accounting functions and ad hoc projects as required.
- Preparation of quarterly reporting information for management accounts.
- Communicating with overseas internal and external accountants.
Requirements
- Experience within a gallery or relevant industry (e.g., music, lifestyle, artists representation, model agency).
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is desirable (but not necessary).
- Knowledge of VAT.
- Ability to organise and prioritise duties.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A team player but also ability to work independently.
