A position has arisen to join the team as a casual General Assistant within the Vale of Glamorgan Contract. Centres include Cowbridge, Llantwit Major, Penarth and Barry Leisure Centres.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Duty Managers, the successful candidate will be flexible, reliable, possess good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team. You will have a zero hours/casual contract; with hours available as and when required within one of our 4 Leisure Centres. Your main duties will include various cleaning tasks around the facility. You may also be required to assist with the set up/set down of our sports hall activities. You will also be required to greet customers/members in person, and over the telephone, as well as operating our Front of House computer systems which include bookings and process payments for all point of sale products. You will also be required to assist with the processing of new Gym Memberships in line with the company procedures. Creating excellent customer relations and basic computer skills are essential requirements for this post. Experience in generating sales and hitting targets would be desirable. Shift times may include weekday/evenings and weekends.
The Person
The successful candidate should ideally have previous knowledge of the leisure industry and experience of working in a busy wet/dry facility. Excellent communication skills, flexibility and a commitment to customer service are essential. You will be a team player, and self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
