Job Description
The FOH Manager is a key position in Penarth Leisure Centre and will report directly to the Centre Manager. Carrying out continuous customer and staff relations services, the post provides a genuinely rewarding experience and a springboard to a leisure management career in one of the most attractive and fast growing leisure management companies in the UK.
Primary objectives for the FOH Manager will be:
- To promote excellent customer service and drive standards.
- To contribute to the growth of the Fitness membership base by hitting Sales Targets.
- To work closely with our central marketing team and ensure all centre marketing promotion is clear, simple and up to date maximising any local opportunities or partnerships.
- To support the Centre manager in achieving the budget.
The FOH Manager will focus day to day on the following tasks:
- To manage the Front of House/Sales team. Areas of responsibility would include recruitment, welfare, rota management, payroll, training and development of the team.
- To ensure we keep staff and customer safe at all times.
- To ensure that the financial objectives of the department are achieved and the appropriate financial systems and procedures are followed.
- To manage the fitness membership sales performance daily and ensure the team deliver.
- To lead on the marketing at site for all central marketing campaigns.
- To manage & increase social media engagement through all relevant platforms.
- To ensure the retail area is well managed and commercially successful.
- To ensure the website is kept updated and accurate at all times.
- To manage the Sales team with forward planning for all lead generation and outreach activities.
- To ensure that the Sales team and themselves are delivering the centres KPIs/MPCs in order to work towards achieving monthly sales targets.
- To ensure sufficient staff are available for the safe, high quality functioning of the Front of house area.
- To identify, develop and deliver appropriate staff training and development.
- To guide, care for and assist all site users.
- To ensure all facilities are presented to the highest levels of cleanliness and comfort.

Qualifications
The successful candidate must be flexible, reliable, and enjoy working as part of a team. We are looking for passion and a willingness to drive the business and hit targets; we can train everything else! At least one year experience in a sales or marketing role would be required. Ability to speak Welsh would be desirable, however not essential.
