The Opportunity
We're looking for a People and Culture Administrator to join our team. Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of an exceptional colleague experience across the business. This is a varied and hands-on role where you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate colleague records, supporting monthly reporting and assisting with a wide range of People and Culture initiatives and projects.
You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, providing administrative and project support to help drive key people activities, ensure compliance, and continuously improve our people processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is highly organised, enjoys working with data, and is looking to develop their career within a busy and supportive People and Culture team.
Key Responsibilities
- General administration for the People and Culture team, including but not limited to ensuring the People system is accurately updated, DBS checks, issuing employment lifecycle documents and monitoring general People email inboxes
- Carry out audits on our People systems, eligibility to work, training and skills matrices etc.
- Coordinate People and Culture events, such as training sessions, meetings, or celebrations
- Support with collecting and providing the Monthly MI reporting data on recruitment, performance, attrition, and absence
- Respond to internal and external People related inquiries or requests such as the terms and conditions of employment, absence policy, parental leave.
- Support the colleague life cycle processes, carrying out new starter inductions, exit interviews, organising training
- Support the wider People team with the engagement calendar activities
- Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures, and guidelines or any other activities as and when required.
- In absence of the Pay and Benefits Coordinator, manage the payroll cycle and payroll checks.
Measures of Success
- Colleague records and People systems are accurate, complete and updated promptly, with minimal audit errors.
- Contracts, employment documents, DBS checks and right-to-work checks are completed within required timescales.
- New starters, leavers and other colleague lifecycle changes are administered smoothly and on time.
- Monthly People MI is accurate, complete and provided by the agreed reporting deadline.
- Colleague and manager queries are acknowledged promptly and resolved accurately or escalated appropriately.
About You
Essential
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills.
- Proactive team player; able to work under own autonomy and as part of a team.
- An ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy is crucial.
- Self-motivated, can-do attitude and with problem-solving skills.
- Strong Microsoft office knowledge and technical skills
- CIPD Qualified or interest in undertaking qualifications.
- Strong administration skills
Desirable
- Experience working in a People/HR team.
