Job Purpose
An opportunity to become part of the Supply Chain team on a fixed term contract. The role will see the right person support the Purchasing team and optimise sourcing of raw materials through demand analysis and aged stock review.
Responsibilities
- Monitor stock levels to provide an effective operation and meet agreed performance levels.
- Highlight, investigate and correct stock discrepancies.
- Determine trends and patterns within stock data to identify and implement areas for improvement.
- Introduce and maintain company procedures and systems within the area.
- Analyse data and carry out reconciliations.
- Report on and control of Consignment, Aged and Scrap stocks.
- Aid the implementation of Lean manufacturing Techniques.
- Deliver Service Excellence to internal and external stakeholders at all times.
- Ensure effective communication from all areas of the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with all existing systems, standards and procedures.
- Highlight more efficient ways of comparing data by modifying/designing spreadsheets, reports, and files.
- Identify the root causes of stock control issues and suggest preventative actions.
- Optimise stock control on the stock management system.
- Monitor performance against departmental objectives set.
- Effective control of all pallet types.
- Produce regular reports/statistics on the area, and comment/make recommendations for action as appropriate.
Skills Required
- Computer literate (Excel at advanced level).
- Good level of numeracy and literacy.
- Relevant stock control qualification/training (desired).
- Previous experience of effective Warehousing and stock/control management.
- Ability to work under strict deadlines and targets.
- Collating reports using monthly data.
