Be part of something that keeps people safer in the digital world. At Safer Steps, we’re turning that around. This new role will put you at the heart of an innovative partnership across West Yorkshire that’s changing how we respond to stalking, especially online and tech-based abuse.

You’ll use your digital know-how and understanding of safeguarding and trauma informed support to make a real difference: supporting Independent Stalking Advocates and other frontline workers to keep people safer, strengthen safety planning, and build confidence in tackling cyberstalking. You’ll help victim-survivors understand and reclaim their tech, train professionals to spot digital risks, and share your expertise to shape safer, smarter systems of support.

We’re looking for someone curious, practical and compassionate: someone who believes technology should empower, not endanger. You don’t need to be a cybersecurity specialist, but you do need to know and love technology, understand how tech abuse often occurs within relational and family contexts and have a desire to help others make sense of tech and have the confidence to explain it clearly.

If you want to use your skills for something that genuinely matters, where every training session, every conversation, and every solved problem helps make people safer, we’d love to hear from you.

Safer Steps – support to stay safe from stalking is a new inclusive specialist service for people affected by stalking delivered by the West Yorkshire Stalking Support Hub (WYSSH). WYSSH is led by Leeds Women’s Aid (LWA), in partnership with Staying Put, WomenCentre, Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership (PDAP) and a Wakefield provider (TBC).

This post is open to women only under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.
