About the Role

We're looking for a new Part-Time Assistant Manager in Venues, our nightclub and gig spaces at Leeds University Union! Our USP is high volume of sales within a fun and safe space for both staff and customers. You will experience a range of operational bar manager shifts for a multitude of events held in the union throughout the year such as Fruity and Leeds Ball. In addition, a number of gigs throughout the year to keep you on your toes!

Some of the main responsibilities would include:

  • To be a key holder responsible for the opening and closing of the outlet and contribute to overall security of the bars.
  • To assist the manager in the training and development of weekly paid staff.
  • To be responsible for ongoing motivation and productivity of staff and leading by example.
  • To carry out administration duties such as shift briefings, banking and stock ordering.

What we're looking for

You’ll need to be passionate about great customer service in a late-night environment with high-volume sales. Also, you’ll be used to working to the highest standards whilst being a great team player in a large team. Lastly, you’ll have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to effectively lead and develop your team.
