This role is perfect for an individual with a flair for delivering exceptional copy and content for digital channels, who is passionate about students, inclusivity and creating engaging accessible content.
About you
You’re a natural storyteller with a passion for crafting engaging, accessible content that connects with a student audience. With experience in content creation across web and email platforms, you’ll bring creativity, accuracy, and strategy to everything you write.
You’re comfortable juggling multiple projects, confident in interpreting a brief, and always thinking about the bigger picture—how your words can drive action, shape perception, and make a difference. You’ll be excited by the opportunity to create digital content that helps every student loves their time at Leeds.
You’ll need:
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with an eye for detail and a love for clear, concise, and inclusive language
- Experience creating content for digital channels—especially websites and email newsletters
- A good understanding of SEO and how to write with optimisation and user experience in mind
- Experience and/or knowledge using Google Analytics, Mailchimp or relevant data analytics and CRM software
- A collaborative, can-do attitude and the confidence to work closely with teams across the organisation
- An understanding of digital trends and what makes content resonate with a youth audience
- Experience coordinating photography, video or animations to support your copy.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with a diverse range of people.
