Leeds Trinity University is seeking a Casual Sport Development Assistant to support the delivery of its social sport and physical activity programme during Semester 2. This role is critical to maintaining continuity of provision following the departure of substantive Sport Development staff, while longer-term staffing arrangements are progressed.
The postholder will be responsible for delivering inclusive, safe, and engaging social sport sessions for students (and staff), contributing directly to student wellbeing, belonging, and engagement. The role will involve on-site delivery of a range of recreational sport and physical activity sessions, equipment set-up and take-down, supervision of participants, and liaison with facilities staff to ensure sessions run smoothly and safely.
You will also be expected to adopt a supportive and inclusive approach to student engagement, with the ability to signpost students to appropriate University support services where needed, in line with institutional guidance. You will work as part of a student-facing service that plays a key role in the University's student experience, wellbeing, and sense of belonging.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in sport or physical activity delivery who is confident working with diverse groups and committed to inclusive participation.
