Head of Strategic Portfolio Management Office
Hours of work:Full-time (1.0fte)
Salary: The starting salary will be from £56,921 up to £65,814 per annum (pro rata) in Grade 9, depending on qualifications and experience
We are seeking an experienced Head of Strategic Portfolio Management Office to play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of the University’s strategic priorities. This is a key position leading the Strategic Portfolio Management Office (SPMO), driving the definition, planning, and delivery of complex projects and programmes.
You will lead in establishing, managing, and continuously improving the SPMO Centre of Excellence (CoE), ensuring the adoption of best practices in portfolio, programme, and project management (PPM) across the University. Alongside this you will operationalise the University’s Portfolio Definition and Portfolio Delivery Cycle practices and processes, and line manage the deployable pool of delivery specialists, aligning resource to the defined strategic prortfolio.
As digital transformation is integral to the delivery of the University’s Strategic Plan the postholder will be responsible for leading the digital transformation portfolio, as well as continual improvement of the PPM functions and services provided by the CoE.
You will ensure the University’s Strategic Portfolio Management Office processes, and controls are effectively deployed to support the successful delivery of the University’s strategic programmes.
This role will be located at Leeds Trinity University campus in Horsforth, Leeds though there is also opportunity to work from our City Centre Campus. Through our agile working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
