The Team Leader is primarily responsible for supporting the Management team with the smooth day to day running of their unit both front and back of house, delivering the highest standards of food quality and customer service through effective team leadership. Responsible for running the shift in the absence of the Shop Manager and Assistant Shop Manager.

Key Duties:

  • To lead and manage shifts by example, inspire and motivate the team to deliver the best possible customer experience.
  • Ensure all customers enjoy fast, friendly and efficient service.
  • Food and coffee: Ensuring the customer is served appetising and tasty products made exactly to the company’s recipe specification.
  • Shop environment: Clean and welcoming shops with tidy and abundant displays.
  • To always uphold the highest standards of food hygiene and safety.
  • To ensure health and safety standards are always followed.
  • To follow Mystery Shopper guidelines and the sequence of service and ensure all team members on shift adhere to the guidelines.
  • Staff training and retention: Help to build a strong team to grow and progress with the company.
  • Security: Ensuring that cash control and profit protection measures are in place and any concerns are reported to the management team.
  • Controls: To control staff labour costs while on shift through effective scheduling and reaction to sales patterns.
  • To control the cost of sales on shift through correct recipe usage of products and striving to minimise waste.
  • To help and support new and trainee team members.

  • P&L results: control of food cost and wastage on shift.
  • Health and Safety audit results.
