Leeds Teaching Hospitals Urology department is recruiting a Locum Consultant to support the General Urology Service for a 12‑month fixed term contract (including support for urolithiasis and LUTS).
Overview
Join one of the largest Urology Departments in the country, providing secondary, tertiary and regional care. The department has regular access to a Da Vinci robotic system.
Main Duties
- Support the General Urology Service and manage general urological conditions.
- Conduct outpatient appointments, flexible cystoscopy and diagnostic testing.
- Operate on patients in Day Case and Inpatient theatres.
- Engage in research and pursue a project towards publication in a peer‑reviewed journal.
- Participate fully in the training programme, including radiology and uropathology meetings and a half‑day per week of postgraduate education.
Person Specification
Qualified Consultant in Urology, with clinical experience in managing stones and LUTS; evidence of research interest and basic clinical education experience would be desirable.
