Registered Midwife with current NMC registration and qualified PMA. Extensive experience in maternity services across a variety of settings. Strong leadership and management skills with experience leading teams and change. In‑depth knowledge of clinical quality, safety, and governance frameworks. Ability to deliver and embed the A‑EQUIP model effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Experience of quality improvement, audit, and service development. Ability to analyse and interpret data to inform practice and improvement. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. A commitment to staff wellbeing, professional development, and compassionate leadership.

Main duties of the job:

  • Leading the delivery of the A‑EQUIP (Advocating for Education and Quality Improvement) model, ensuring high‑quality restorative clinical supervision and support for professional development.
  • Driving service alignment, promoting equity of access to PMA support across all sites, and ensuring the PMA service is visible, valued, and integral to continuous improvement.
  • Championing midwifery leadership, supporting staff wellbeing, and contributing to the delivery of safe, personalised care for women and families.
  • Coordinating a consistent and high‑quality PMA service to enhance midwifery professional development and staff wellbeing.
  • Collaborating with maternity and leadership teams across the trust.

Qualifications: Experienced, registered midwife with current NMC registration and PMA qualification.

Experience: Experience of quality improvement, audit, service development, and data analysis in a maternity setting. Demonstrated leadership and management of teams.
