An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Operations Centre at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust for an experienced and dynamic senior nurse to join our senior leadership team. This pivotal role will play a key part in shaping and delivering the Trust’s patient flow and discharge agenda. We are seeking an ambitious and forward‑thinking nurse leader who brings strong negotiating and influencing skills, alongside the ability to thrive within a large, complex organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of safe, effective, and timely patient flow and discharge processes across LTHT.
  • Operational and business planning.
  • Budgetary and resource management.
  • Leading and delivering change.
  • Influencing and engaging multidisciplinary teams.
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams and cross‑city partners to facilitate timely patient discharge, improve patient experience, and support system‑wide flow.
  • Line management responsibility for Clinical Site Managers, Discharge Lead Nurse, and oversight of the Discharge Lounge Facility.
