Finance Officer in Leeds

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as a Finance Officer and be part of our award winning finance team. Based in Trust Headquarters at St. James’s University Hospital, you will play a key role in providing excellent financial management support, working closely with both clinical and corporate departments to ensure sound financial decision‑making. You will play a vital part in month end processes, financial analysis and reporting.

What you will bring to the role:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and provide clear financial advice and guidance to both finance and non‑finance colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, ensuring financial information is processed, checked and maintained in line with Trust policies, procedures and Standing Financial Instructions.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, investigate discrepancies and support informed decision‑making.
• Effective organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities, work independently within agreed procedures and consistently meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• A proactive and professional approach, demonstrating integrity, a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development, and the ability to contribute positively to team performance and service delivery.
