The Facilities Operational Supervisor will supervise up to 40 staff and ensure that Cleaning, Patient Catering and related services are delivered to exceptional standards. The role requires strong leadership, operational management and effective stakeholder liaison across multiple Trust sites.
Responsibilities
- Daily management of staff rotas, payroll and attendance using the Health Roster online system.
- Conduct formal attendance meetings, audits and monitoring of staff performance.
- Direct and monitor daily activities, appraisals and act upon patient feedback and risk assessments.
- Liaise with internal and external key stakeholders, patients and visitors.
- Support financial performance by identifying and implementing efficiencies.
- Maintain safety, cleanliness and compliance with local and national standards.
- Work a 2-week rotational 11-hour shift pattern, including every other weekend.
Qualifications
- Formal qualifications: GCSE/CSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or 4 and above (or level 3 in supervision / management).
Experience
- Knowledge of sustainability, waste regulations and carbon footprint agenda.
