Senior Clinical Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) – Minor Injuries Unit (MIU), Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will lead the MIU service at Leeds General Infirmary and St James University Hospital, providing independent specialist care within an agreed scope of practice and managing a defined caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence‑based, patient‑centred care as an independent specialist clinical practitioner.
- Assess care needs, develop and implement care plans and evaluate outcomes.
- Provide specialist nursing care, treatment and advice to patients presenting with minor injuries.
- Support effective use of resources and promote interdisciplinary, whole‑service working.
- Serve as a role model, sharing good practice and delivering high‑quality, efficient care.
- Provide training and education to staff, patients and families/carers.
- Conduct clinical procedures requiring dexterity and accuracy, and make treatment decisions within defined policies and protocols.
- Organise own clinical workload and supervise clinical staff to promote excellent standards.
- Maintain documentation standards in accordance with NMC and LTHT guidelines.
- Maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders involved in patient care.
