The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

Working within the Chief Executives Office, an exciting new opportunity has arisen which places the postholder at the forefront of partnership across both LTHT and the wider system. Working closely with other members of the Chief Executives Office, the postholder will be responsible for ensuring actions assigned to the Chief Executive are taken forward by engaging and working with teams from across the Trust and partners across the wider health and social care system. Working alongside a new role of business manager, they will also be responsible for ensuring the Chief Executive is briefed and prepared for all meetings and events with appropriate information, presentations, speeches, and background.

Main duties of the job include:

  • Liaising extensively on behalf of the Chief Executive with Clinical Service Units and departments within the Trust, partners, and external stakeholders including patients, public, and the voluntary sector.
  • Having responsibility for effective environment scanning for emerging issues which could impact the Trust.
  • Working closely with external partners to ensure effective citywide and region-wide partnership.
  • Supporting the Chief Executive in ensuring the completion of day-to-day duties and achievement of Executive Team objectives.
  • Providing timely briefings to ensure the Chief Executive is prepared to represent the Trust effectively at meetings with key stakeholders and staff.
  • Writing reports, submissions, speeches, and presentations on behalf of the Chief Executive.
  • Supporting the development and monitoring of delivery of key Trust Executive Group work.
  • Providing reports and producing evidence as requested to the Chief Executive in relation to compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Supporting the Chief Executive with drafting of key reports and Board papers.
  • Being an active member of the Senior Leadership Team and monitoring and managing a budget for a range of services.

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications
  • Essential: Degree and post graduate diploma in relevant subject or equivalent experience.
  • Desirable: Holding a relevant professional business qualification.
  • Skills & behaviours
    • Essential: A high level of leadership, communications (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
    • Desirable: Strong analytical skills with the ability to make effective judgments involving highly complex and multi-stranded facts or situations.
  • Experience
    • Essential: Extensive experience of working at a senior level in a large and complex organisation.
    • Desirable: Experience in the preparation of general correspondence and management reports.
