Are you a SEND teaching assistant with experience of working with children with medical needs? If you are an SEND specialist, or have strengths being a learning support assistant for children with additional and medical needs, this is the role for you!

We are looking for a learning support assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil with multiple medical needs.

Day to day tasks for this SEND teaching assistant role:

  • Supporting with moving safely around school
  • Supporting the child with learning
  • Administrating medication
  • Help with speech and language - knowledge of makaton would be useful
  • Some personal care

As a support assistant, you will show strong pastoral and emotional support for your pupil, as well as being vigilant to their cues and needs which will mean being able to think on the spot and being flexible with their timetable. The pupil will require some medical administration and first aid (training will be given).
