Please note we are unable to offer a Sponsorship Licence for this role. An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of our forward thinking team as a Salaried GP. We are a large, evolving practice with a unique student demographic. We have a list size of over 40,000 and are based in Leeds city centre in close proximity to the universities. Parking is available on site. We are flexible with the number of sessions. We reserve the right to close the vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications.
Covid 19 vaccination remains the best way to protect yourself, your colleagues, your family and of course our patients from the virus when working in our healthcare setting. Whilst Covid 19 vaccination is not a condition of employment at this time, we do encourage our staff to get vaccinated. We will be checking the vaccination status of all our new starters so that we can manage individual and environmental risks, and so that we can support those who may be undecided about vaccination.

Main duties of the job:
- Providing a high level of medical care to the practice population.
- See up to thirteen patients per session.
- Undertake all self-governed administration.
- Required to undertake on call duty responsibilities.

LSMP strives to provide inclusive, non-judgemental person-centred care to a diverse student population coming from the UK and around the world. Our ethos is grounded in compassion, accessibility, and equity, recognising the unique pressures and challenges of student life. The Practice clinical priorities include Sexual and Reproductive Health, Mental health and wellbeing, young adult long-term condition diagnosis and management, and LGBTQIA+ health. There is a strong focus on prevention, early intervention, and continuity of care.
We are seeking colleagues, both clinical and non-clinical, who are willing to work with the needs of the registered patients and are open to developing their skills in responding to the clinical priorities. Person Specification:
- Qualifications: Full GP qualification, GMC registered with a license to practice indemnified.
- Experience:
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to make confident decisions.
- Professional conduct: Ability to work within professional codes of conduct, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
- Organisational skills: Ability to manage time, workload, patient related administration efficiently.
- Team player: Willingness to work across multiple practices and collaborate with MDTs.
- Experience with EMIS preferred.
