Wetherby High School is a forward-thinking school in a semi-rural area of North Leeds. We are proud of our caring and inclusive reputation and have a strong team of professionals committed to developing and delivering a rich learning experience for all our students.

Our school community is based upon an inclusive and restorative ethos that we believe best allows every student the opportunity to realise their full potential. Wetherby High School is in an exciting phase of development, with a new state of the art building for the school community planned to start construction next year.

To enhance our team, we are now seeking a Site Superintendent to assist the Site and Operations Manager with the management of the school site and associated facilities, taking responsibility for the management and development of key processes across the school. This is an ideal opportunity to develop a rewarding career in premises management working alongside our Site and Operations Manager through the build and transition process.

It is essential that the post holder shares our school ethos which is firmly rooted in a restorative approach and the following values: to ‘Know our children well’; to be ‘Partners in Learning’; to develop ‘Character for Achievement’; to ‘Enjoy and Aspire’. We firmly believe that in order to move forwards we need to be prepared and able to ‘do things differently and do different things’.

To support our school ethos, the post holder will also be a coach to a group of students and fully involved in our Coaching Programme, House System, flexible learning and break & invigilation duties.

We significantly invest in the development and training of all colleagues who are equally happy to share their expertise, skills and knowledge across the organisation. If you are looking to be stretched and challenged within a positive and creative staff team and you have a genuine desire to make a positive difference to our children, please submit an application form, covering letter to hr@wetherbyhigh.co.uk by noon on Monday 16th February 2026.

We encourage early applications and reserve the right to close this advert early if we receive sufficient applications for the role.

We promote diversity and want a workforce which reflects the population of Leeds. This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful applications will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring check and satisfactory references.

The school has a privacy statement for job applicants which is published on the website. We welcome applications from everyone and actively seek a diverse range of applicants from all backgrounds and cultures. We particularly encourage applications from, but not limited to, women, carers, veterans as well as LGBT+, ethnically diverse, disabled and care experienced people.

This role is based in the UK. Home Office guidance states that candidates must evidence their right to work in the UK prior to commencing employment, either as a UK or Irish citizen, under the EU Settlement scheme or having secured any other relevant work visa. If you do not have the right to work in the UK, you must consider your own eligibility for sponsorship for a particular role through the Skilled Worker visa route before applying. To be eligible for sponsorship you'll usually need to be paid the standard salary rate of at least £41,700 per year or meet one of the other eligibility criteria. Please ensure you are eligible before applying.
