Responsibilities

  • Using a range of targeted interventions and coaching strategies to help students with High Needs enjoy, achieve and progress at College.
  • Supporting tutors to develop and provide reasonable adjustments for their students in line with Education, Health and Care plans and wider SEND.
  • Promoting and developing inclusive and person-centred practice across the college.
  • Representing the ILS team and helping to promote support strategies across college.
  • Delivery of group personal development sessions to students with EHCPs.

Qualifications

It is essential that you have experience of working with students who experience barriers to learning, social emotional mental health issues and EHCPS. You will have a good understanding of the principles of inclusion and be committed to providing personalised support in partnership with other educational professionals and agencies. Experience of delivery of personal development would be an advantage as would having experience in a post 16 setting. You must have 5 GCSEs (Grade A*-C) including English Language and Maths at Level 2 or equivalent.
