Leeds Playhouse is recruiting for a collaborative, organised, approachable individual to join our Building Operations and Facilities department, in a key role.
The Building Operations and Facilities Assistant Manager role helps to bring together our Security, Maintenance, Housekeeping and Facilities departments as one team. The role reports to the Building Operations and Facilities Manager and works across all three of our buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support staff, ensuring they feel supported, respected and valued.
- Assist in managing planned and reactive maintenance programmes.
- Contribute to the safety and well-being of staff and visitors by ensuring the safe operation of the buildings' fabric and plant.
- Act as an integral part of the Security Team, ensuring all users are safe and protocols are followed.
- Coordinate with the Housekeeping Supervisor to keep all spaces clean and well presented.
- Support the Facilities Operative and schedule room set-ups and activities for internal and external events.
Full-time, permanent contract of 35 hours per week (usually Monday–Saturday). Evening and weekend work, including occasional Sundays, is required. Flexibility to attend call-outs and work occasional evenings is necessary.
Salary & BenefitsSalary: £28,660 per year. Call-out fees and double-time pay available between 12am and 7am when required. Benefits include 5 weeks holiday entitlement (plus 1.6 weeks of bank holidays), 2 wellbeing days a year, discounts on food and drinks, free show tickets, local gym and swimming discounts, and more detailed information in the job pack.
