This is a FULL TIME role MONDAY - FRIDAY 8.30am - 5.00pm (Occasional Saturdays). Based in Pudsey LS28. Salary £25,000 to £28,000 depending on experience.

Leeds Junk & Rubbish are a fast-growing waste removal company, running a busy fleet of vehicles across Leeds and West Yorkshire. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, efficient operations, and a supportive team culture. With continued growth, we’re now looking for a hands-on Team Leader to oversee daily operations, bookings, and conversions.
Role Overview
What you’ll be doing:
- Planning and managing daily operations – routes, team allocation, and vehicle scheduling.
- Ensuring jobs are completed efficiently, on time, and to company standards.
- Monitoring and improving conversion rates – your own office bookings, as well as team job completion vs quotes.
- Managing and supporting our fleet of vehicles and drivers, including basic compliance and maintenance reporting.
- Problem solving quickly to keep jobs on track in a fast-paced environment.
- Delivering excellent customer service across phone, email, and WhatsApp.
- Motivating and leading your team to consistently achieve revenue and performance targets.
- Reporting on conversion rates and KPI’s.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in operations, planning, transport, or waste management.
- Strong customer service background with proven sales/conversion ability.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and initiative.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Confidence in managing people, vehicles, and performance through KPIs.
- Good IT/organisational skills to track bookings, conversions, and fleet records.
- Excellent English and communication skills.
- Friendly and confident phone manner.
- Creative approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Dependable and hardworking with a strong team spirit.
- Willing to learn, grow, and take on new responsibilities.
- Previous experience in a team leader operational role.
