We are looking for a Tenant Board Member whose lived experience can influence and strengthen the work of our Board. As a Tenant Board Member, your role is to bring a tenant perspective and voice to discussions. You will contribute at a strategic level across all aspects of the business. There will be opportunities for you to learn about new areas of work, to develop new skills, and be part of a team that is passionate about the communities it serves.

Social housing is dealing with lots of changes to the way it operates. The Board is at the forefront of addressing those challenges. We are looking for people who are passionate about making a difference and who can embrace our vision of helping people make a home alongside tenants, partners and stakeholders.

The Board currently meets both virtually and in person approximately 7 times a year with additional Customer Experience, Audit & Risk, and Governance & Remuneration committee meetings which you will be assigned linked with your skills and experience. Your expected contribution will be approximately 15 days per annum.

Closing date for applications is noon on Tuesday 14th April 2026. Interviews will take place on Friday 24th April 2026. There is a Board meeting on 2 June and 11 August and the successful applicant will be invited to attend this meeting as an observer prior to being appointed to the Board at the Annual General Meeting in September.

The Company Leeds Federated is a housing association with around 4,500 properties across Leeds, Wakefield, and North Yorkshire. Our mission is to enable the maximum number of people to access and live sustainably in good-value, affordable housing.
