We are looking for an organised, approachable and proactive Performing Arts Assistant (Variable Hours) to support the smooth running of activities within our School of Drama.
This is a varied role, providing practical and administrative support to staff and students and helping us deliver an excellent experience across our Performing Arts programmes.
What You Will Do
Youll be a key point of contact for activity taking place within our Playhouse Square studios and other teaching locations. Youll help coordinate the day-to-day delivery of teaching and student activity, working closely with colleagues across Leeds Conservatoire and with external venues and partners.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the smooth delivery of teaching and student activities within the School of Drama.
- Providing practical and administrative support to staff and students.
- Liaising with internal teams and external venues to help coordinate activity and timetabling.
- Acting as a first point of contact for external hire venues.
- Helping to ensure the Playhouse Square office is organised, well stocked and functioning effectively.
- Supporting administration relating to learning, teaching and promotional activity.
- Acting as a link between the School of Drama, the Students Union and students based at Playhouse Square.
- Creating and posting content across the School of Dramas social media accounts.
About You
Youll be someone who enjoys working in a busy, creative environment and can confidently manage a varied workload. Youll be approachable, organised and comfortable working with a wide range of people.
Youll have strong communication and administrative skills, good attention to detail and the ability to use your initiative to solve day-to-day problems. An interest in performing arts or experience of working within an education, arts or creative environment would be particularly welcome.
