Hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm , with a mutually agreed level of flexibility to accommodate arrangements such as cover annual leave, events, sickness etc.
We are seeking a Facilities Assistant to provide a safe and welcoming service for our students, staff and visitors on campus. You will work with the Facilities Supervisor to carry out basic maintenance of our campus and abide by our Health and Safety Policies.
Initially based at Conservatoire, this role is part of a small team responsible for ensuring that teaching and learning activities are able to run effectively. You will primarily be stationed at Leeds Conservatoire but will be expected to work across Mabgate and Quarry Hill occasionally.
What You Will Do
- Setting up of rooms, which include moving furniture for teaching, events and exam requests.
- Assisting the Facilities Supervisor with weekly compliance checks.
- Unlocking and Locking up of the premises including setting of the Intruder Alarm.
- Assist the site team and provide support with the Emergency Evacuation Procedures such as Fire Alarm Activations and any other emergency.
- Support the Facilities Supervisor with on-site contractors and visitors, ensuring an understanding of the College guidelines and procedures.
- Minor repairs.
- Refilling photocopiers and distributing internal and external mail.

- Assisting the Facilities Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of the group\βs pupils, staff, visitors, property, premises and facilities.
