Keighley College is recruiting for a Teaching Facilitator in Carpentry and Joinery within the Construction and Building Services department. You will support the Carpentry and Joinery team with technician tasks and plan, teach, and assess learning within the department. The role also includes some administrative duties. This role is ideally suited for a person with a Carpentry and Joinery background who wants to start or progress their career in teaching.
What You Will Do
- Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, and learning and assessment plans.
- Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners.
- Motivate and inspire students to achieve targets and develop their skills to enable progression.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with learners and provide support to ensure successful outcomes.
- Use and promote restorative practice approaches.
About You
- Relevant highest level vocational qualification in the teaching subject.
- Enjoy working with young people, able to inspire, lead and develop effective and respectful relationships with students, college staff and external partners.
- A passion for bringing out the best in others and collaborating in a range of contexts.
- Relevant up-to-date subject knowledge of Carpentry and Joinery.
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their optimum.
- Willingness to gain a CertEd qualification.
