Keighley College is looking for a Teacher of Plumbing to join the team. You will be responsible for shaping and delivering a curriculum that focuses on Plumbing within our Building Services department. The role combines academic leadership, industry relevance, and a focus on key knowledge, skills, and behaviours to equip learners with the necessary tools to thrive in a rapidly evolving sector. This position aligns education with the growing demand of the construction industry within the community of West Yorkshire. The role requires a dynamic individual with deep knowledge of joinery practices who can inspire both students and faculty to achieve excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the teaching team to maintain high-quality delivery and adapt teaching practices to meet the diverse needs of students while ensuring they acquire the skills required for the plumbing trade.
  • Prepare students for the evolving expectations of the labour market in plumbing sectors.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements and industry updates.
  • Develop comprehensive assessment strategies that provide meaningful feedback to students, helping them progress in their learning and development.
  • Motivate and inspire students to meet academic goals and think creatively about their role in a sustainable future.
  • Complete course-level self-assessments and contribute to ongoing quality improvement plans.

About You

  • Strong background in teaching and plumbing trade.
