The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

This is a part-time role: 18.5 hours a week. We are seeking two experienced Teachers - Early Years and Education, specifically for Entry-L3 Childcare and Teaching Assistant courses. This is a teaching role in the Childcare and Teaching Assistant team, delivering part-time adult 19+ programmes across Leeds City College campuses and outreach centres. We deliver a range of qualifications from entry level to level 3 in early years, childcare, teaching assistants, health and social care and special educational needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Adult, Community & ESOL (ACE) department, who were graded Outstanding by Ofsted in May 2022 and January 2025.

What You Will Do

  • Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans.
  • Develop the essential knowledge and understanding to teach Teaching Assistant and Childcare learners.
  • Create individual SMART learning targets linked to learner study programme/course.
  • Monitor students to achieve their targets and develop their skills to enable progression.

Successful candidates will need to be a qualified teacher who holds a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, or willing to work towards one.

About You

  • Hold a Level 2/Level 3 qualification in a vocationally related subject area e.g. Childcare, Teaching Assistant or Health and Social Care.
  • You should have sector relevant experience.
  • Experience of delivering and assessing different levels from Entry 3 to Level 3 preferred.
  • Experience of using OneFile E-Portfolio and Google Applications desirable.
