About the Role
Leeds City College is recruiting a Teacher of Chef Skills to join our School of Travel, Food and Drink. The role is full‑time and involves inspiring and supporting the next generation of chefs and hospitality professionals, nurturing confidence, creativity and professional standards throughout their learning journey.
What You Will Do
- Deliver engaging lessons across Level 1 to Level 3 Culinary skills and professional cookery courses.
- Share real‑world culinary and hospitality experience to bring learning to life.
- Support learners to develop practical kitchen skills, creativity, teamwork, and confidence for careers in the catering and hospitality industry.
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support student growth and achievement.
- Inspire and motivate young people to explore opportunities within the culinary and hospitality sector.
- Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring content reflects current industry trends, techniques, and professional standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners to enhance the learner experience and create industry‑relevant opportunities.

- Strong practical chef skills and up‑to‑date knowledge of industry standards and food preparation techniques.
- A genuine passion for teaching, mentoring, and developing young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
