About The Role
Leeds City College is seeking a Teacher of Health, Science and Social Care to join us at our Quarry Hill Campus. This is a part‑time role of 18.5 hours per week with a pro‑rated salary of £15,958 progressing to £17,956.
What You Will Do
- You will teach primarily at Level 3, with flexibility to deliver at other levels as required.
- You will plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources and activities.
- You will deliver inspiring lessons using a wide range of teaching methods, including digital skills.
- You will assess and provide regular feedback to learners, supporting them to achieve their highest potential grades.
- You will record student progress and keep them updated in their assessments.
About You
- Holds an L5 teaching qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE).
- Possesses a relevant highest level vocational qualification or degree in the teaching subject.
- Has English and Maths at Level 2 or above and a willingness to improve to Level 3 or above.
- Has recent teaching delivery in relevant subject areas; PGCE placements or experience that demonstrates active learning and differentiated teaching styles are valued.
- Can inspire and motivate learners to achieve their optimum.
