Leeds City College is seeking a Teacher of Law and Politics to join the School of Public Services, based at our Quarry Hill campus. The role involves delivering modules such as UK legal systems, the influence of government and media on uniformed services, equality, diversity and inclusion, and health and safety in the uniformed services.
What You Will Do
- Develop learners to make positive progress towards their career goals while nurturing skills and qualities for successful outcomes.
- Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, and learning and assessment plans.
- Deliver inspiring sessions across the curriculum using a wide range of teaching methods for identified modules.
- Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners.
- Record student progress and adapt curriculum delivery methods to maximise effectiveness, including the use of technology.
About You
- A Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE).
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their optimum.
- A passion for subjects such as law, politics, history and equality and diversity.
- Relevant and up-to-date subject knowledge and recent delivery in the further education or school sector.
- Recent teaching delivery that demonstrates active learning and differentiated teaching styles.
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of different learners.
