About The Role
Leeds City College are recruiting for a Teacher of Chef Skills to join our team. As our school continues to expand, we are looking for a team member who can inspire and support the next generation of chefs and hospitality professionals, helping students grow in confidence, creativity, and professional standards throughout their learning journey. A recognised teaching qualification is essential for this role, as you will be delivering the WJEC Level 1/2 Vocational Award in Hospitality and Catering (Technical Award). Applicants must therefore hold an appropriate teaching qualification and have experience of delivering vocational qualifications within hospitality and catering.

What You Will Do
- Deliver engaging lessons across the WJEC Level 1/2 Vocational Award in Hospitality and Catering (Technical Award), alongside Level 1 to Level 3 Culinary Skills and Professional Cookery courses.
- Share your real‑world culinary and hospitality experience to bring learning to life.
- Support learners to develop practical kitchen skills, creativity, teamwork, and confidence for careers in the catering and hospitality industry.
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support student growth and achievement, including assessment requirements within the WJEC qualification.
- Inspire and motivate young people to explore opportunities within the culinary and hospitality sector.
- Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring content reflects current industry trends, techniques, awarding body requirements, and professional standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners to enhance the learner experience and create industry‑relevant opportunities.
