Leeds City College are seeking a Job Coach to support our Future Pathways department!
The primary focus of this exciting role is based within our brand-new, dedicated college Cafe Hub. Here, you will transform practical hospitality environment into a vibrant learning space, coaching students with high needs (all holding EHCPs) in real-world barista, customer service, and employability skills. Beyond the cafe, you will play a vital role in sourcing external work experience opportunities for other learners within the Future Pathways setting, creating essential stepping stones that help them transition successfully into Supported Internships and future employment.

Please note, this is a reduced year role (39 weeks). The pro rata'd salary is 23,902 to 24,505.
What You Will DoProvide daily, hands-on job coaching and hospitality training to learners within our new cafe space.
Support SEND students to grow their confidence, workplace communication, and essential life skills.
Actively identify, source, and secure external work experience placements for learners across the Future Pathways setting.
Work closely with the SEND team to contribute to EHCP reviews, recording student milestones on Navigate.
Complete robust risk assessments for the cafe hub and external work experience settings.
You have a proven track record of working with young people or adults with learning difficulties/disabilities (SEND), ideally in a coaching or mentoring capacity.
You possess knowledge of or experience in a catering, cafe, or hospitality environment and are enthusiastic about passing these practical skills on to others.
You have the confidence and communication skills to connect with local employers, internal college teams, parents, and carers to secure placements and support students.
You can manage records and comfortably adapt your coaching style to meet individual student needs.
