About The Role
Leeds City College is recruiting an experienced, innovative and enthusiastic Maths teacher to join our Maths team within the School of Social Sciences. The team delivers Entry Functional Skills & GCSE Maths to 16‑18 and Adult learners enrolled on a Study Programme or a full‑time course in Education & Early Years, Public Services or Health Science and Social Care. Location: Quarry Hill Campus, Leeds.
What You Will Do
- Plan, prepare and develop effective schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching and learning resources, including the development of online learning resources.
- Deliver inspiring sessions across the curriculum using a wide range of teaching methods for identified modules.
- Create effective assessment activities, provide developmental and timely feedback to motivate and inspire learners to improve.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with students and provide support and encouragement to ensure successful outcomes.
- Join a friendly, supportive, hard‑working team passionate about developing learners' self‑esteem, abilities and progress.
About You
- Recognised teaching qualification and experience delivering Maths GCSE & Functional Skills in an FE setting.
- Experience of setting targets for students and having strategies and skills to help them achieve their potential.
