Under 18 years - 16,012 per annum
18-20 years - 21,510 per annum
21+ years - 24,520 per annum
Leeds City College have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Student Support Coordinator (Level 3) working in the Student Support team. Working closely with curriculum staff, coaching tutors and the Student Support Coordinator across Music and Performance Production.

This is a hands-on position where you will provide direct student support, deliver early help through drop-in sessions, maintain safeguarding records, and work closely with staff and external agencies to ensure learners are safe, supported, and able to succeed.
You will support students to overcome barriers to learning, stay engaged, and progress into positive destinations, while completing a nationally recognised apprenticeship. The role includes structured training leading to a Level 3 Safeguarding Officer qualification, alongside training as a Designated Safeguarding Officer, First Aider, and Mental Health First Aider.
What You Will Do- Support the Student Support team in promoting wellbeing and safeguarding learners across the college.
- Act as a first point of contact, providing drop-in support, guidance, and signposting for students.
- Assist with identifying, tracking, and monitoring student needs, attendance, and support plans.
- Maintain accurate safeguarding and support records using systems such as CPOMS and MIS, and contribute to casework under supervision.
- Work collaboratively with staff and external agencies, supporting meetings, transitions, and safeguarding processes while engaging in apprenticeship training and development.
- Committed to supporting the wellbeing and safety of young people and vulnerable adults.
- Level 2 English and Maths at grade C/grade 4 minimum
- Interested in safeguarding, pastoral care, and supporting learners with additional needs, with strong empathy and relationship-building skills.
- Organised and detail-focused, with confidence using IT systems for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Team-focused and calm under pressure, committed to equality, inclusion, and maintaining a safe learning environment (interest in creative arts desirable but not essential).
