About the Role
Are you an inspirational leader with a passion for education, SEND and High Needs? Luminate Education Group is recruiting a dynamic Head to lead our new Pathways to Further Learning & Work. Currently based at our Park Lane Campus in Leeds City Centre, the successful candidate will ensure that our students are well-equipped to progress into the next steps, are prepared for adulthood and thrive and succeed on a destination-led curriculum that meets their individual needs and outcomes. This exciting opportunity sits within our extensive SEND & Inclusive Provision Directorate and will support the Directorate team in all SEND and High Needs delivery, contributing to our journey to excellence at Leeds City College, Keighley College, and Harrogate College. As the Head of Department, you will lead a team of 26 staff and over 100 EHCP learners. You will have high expectations of those around you and will drive continuous improvement and compliance that leads to learners gaining exceptional qualifications, skills and personal progression outcomes.

What You Will Do
- Plan, develop and deliver a curriculum which effectively meets the needs of the learners.
- Deliver outstanding outcomes in terms of retention, achievement, success and progression.
- Provide leadership in the enhancement of learning and teaching.
- Provide day-to-day line management for staff and leadership to staff working within the Department.
- Develop strategies for continual improvement.
About You
We are looking for an experienced leader with a passion for supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will be a strategic thinker with a proven ability to lead and manage teams, driving positive outcomes and enhancing the learner experience. With a collaborative and inclusive approach, you will work effectively within the department whilst supporting the SEND & Inclusive Directorate departments and stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of provision and compliance with legal and statutory requirements. You will be an innovative and values-driven leader, able to motivate and inspire staff and learners alike, ensuring the successful delivery of our curriculum.
