About The Role
Part-time, Fixed-Term contract (Maternity Cover)
18.5 hours per week ( to cover Monday – Wednesday)
Actual salary for 18.5 hours – £12,527 with progression to £12,843
The post holder will provide a customer-focused, responsive, and quality administrative service whilst ensuring efficient, accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable transactions. The post holder will work in the Luminate Education Group finance team, providing a shared service across the group. The post holder will, at all times, comply with Luminate Education Group financial regulations and procedures and maintain a proactive and diligent approach to fraud awareness.

What You Will Do
- Monitor payment files for processing to ensure they are received in a timely manner, complete, appropriately authorised, and reconcile to supporting evidence.
- Process payment files in the appropriate software (e.g. BACS software or online banking) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Responsible for accurately processing and reconciling all group receipts and payments including posting to the finance system, including income from PDQ machines and dealing with any queries relating to that receipt.
- Support the Senior Finance Officer with regular training and guidance to those involved with cash handling.
- Monitoring and processing cash advances and petty cash, ensuring all receipts and cash are returned to the College within agreed timescales in accordance with College policies and procedures.
- Maintain a register of PDQ machines and monitor the distribution and use of those machines in accordance with college policies and procedures.
About You
- Previous experience of working with Agresso Business World (web version) or similar Finance data systems.
- Used to working with sensitive data and the guidelines that support it.
- Analytical with the ability to present and analyse data.
- Work accurately, with attention to detail.
- A strong communicator – both written and verbal.
- Used to organising your own time and also working to set deadlines.
- Flexible with the ability to juggle tasks to meet changing priorities.
- Familiar with Financial Operations desirable.
